Storyline

The teaser follows Sugam Mishra, Divyenndu Sharma's character, who has recently become a railway police officer and notices something fishy while handling ticket complaints. The main inquiry is quite straightforward: Why do common travelers have to suffer with waiting lists while some agents find ways to get confirmed tickets easily? Sugam starts to investigate the mysterious fact and finds out that it actually may be linked to a bigger ticketing scheme. His search leads him to meet the character of Bhuvan Arora, who appears to be the high-tech hacker connected to the issue at hand. The premise makes for an intriguing cat-and-mouse plot between a policeman looking for the truth and a hacker who seems to be aware of more things than he tells. Instead of using the railway waiting list as merely a comedic plot development, Waiting Hai employs it to introduce a bigger mystery involving technology, crime, and those who exploit the ticketing system. 

Divyenndu Sharma Is the Biggest Highlight

The positive aspect of the teaser is Divyenndu Sharma. With his effortless screen presence and strong comic timing, he is fully adept at playing the role which demands a combination of wit and seriousness. Through the character of Sugam Mishra, the actor infuses his character with a friendly attribute suggesting that things may take a serious turn in the following investigations. His expressions and dialogues are reasons to watch the series. The teaser is a great example of how he manages to switch from comedy to something more serious and investigative in nature without making the character seem overly apologetic.

Bhuvan Arora Is Another Charm

While the series may eventually be more humorous than indicated in the teaser, going just by the preview, the mystery seems to be stronger than the humour.
