There are movie titles that provide entertainment for a limited number of hours. The movie "Ishqnama" by Arvvindr S. Storyline

The film has a storyline set in the 1980s, "Ishqnama" revolves around Nimma, Sikh poet from Indian Punjab and his love Naseema who hails from the Pakistani Punjab. The ongoing political situation has ensured their love survives against all odds. The movie progresses slowly in a manner that allows the audience to enjoy all the emotions of the characters and understand their hearts with all their struggles.

Positive Points

Ishqnama's most commendable aspect is the emotionally engaging story as well as screenplay which keeps the audience entertained and excited. Jayy Randhawa gives his best performance in this film where he plays Nimma with sincerity and vulnerability. Shehnaaz Gill, playing Naseema, makes the role magical providing innocent charm to the character complementing Jayy in the long run. It is the chemistry between the two which makes this film stand out.

Saurabh Sachdeva, Anjuum Batra, Arvinder Kaur, and Mahabir Bhullar make the supporting cast believable. As for the film’s visuals, Arvvindr S. Khaira manages to capture the essence of the period thanks to outstanding cinematography and stunning landscapes. The music composition of B Praak and Jaani plays an important part in the story that enhances its emotional appeal.

Negative Points

While Ishqnama does a good job of conveying feelings, the slow pace of the film may disappoint those who prefer fast-paced films. The supporting characters lack proper development and few scenes are a tad bit stretched.

Final Verdict: Ishqnama is a beautiful love story which is a perfect combination of emotion with great acting, beautiful music, and breathtaking visuals. It is a terrific love story about how love can win barriers and difficult circumstances. Even though it has minor pacing issues, it is a perfect example of emotional love stories.
