The Evil Dead series has always been one of the most reliable names in the horror genre of the cinema, as it manages to reinvent itself numerous times, while remaining completely faithful to its tradition of terrifying tales with Evil Dead Burn. In the course of history starting with the Sam Raimi cult movie and down to the more recent entries in the series, each and every movie brings its own share of unique scares. Evil Dead Burn by Sebastien Vanicek promises to be an even darker film, as it focuses on the outstanding horror, disturbing pictures and emotional damages. Unlike the previous parts, the movie does not rely on the element of comedy and maintains a serious, shattering atmosphere all throughout.

The plot of this movie centers around Joseph Price, who is studying the work of his deceased grandfather about the world famous Necronomicon, which is also referred to in everyday life as the Book of Dead. In the course of his research, he is able to find the secret Kandarian Dagger, which is known to be the only weapon that could destroy the Deadites. But the discovery of the dagger makes the evil powers come back once again. The thing is that the curse starts to spread among the family members of Joseph almost immediately as soon as his brother William is the first person to become a victim of the Deadites. Later on, the movie shows how the curse is spreading among the rest of the family members during the family gathering at grandfather's house by the lake.

The most notable aspect of the film is how it creates a horrifying atmosphere. Sébastian Vaniček brings in a constant sense of tension due to the disturbing visuals, the real-life effects used in the film, and disturbing horror scenes. The cinematography is exceptional since there are lots of innovative camera angles and eerie pictures that intensify the horror experience. The actors give believable performances since they manage to play fear, pain, and psychological shock well. In addition to blood and gore, it addresses family issues, the resentment that people keep, and the psychological injuries people might suffer in the result of their past actions.
