With many people turning to natural solutions that are made with local ingredients available at home, natural beauty products become increasingly popular. One of these treatments is flaxseed gel that is recognized for moisturizing and healing properties. Although many websites call it by the name of "homemade retinol", keep in mind that flaxseed gel refers neither to retinol nor to its derivatives that are based on vitamin A. So, it can be used to upgrade the existing skincare or haircare regimen.

Why Use Flaxseed Gel

Flaxseeds are very rich in omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and plant compounds, flaxseeds which contribute to skin hydration and overall improvement. The gel made by boiling flaxseeds is thin and natural which makes it effective as a natural moisturizer.
