Finally, we have a first look at Uttar Da Puttar's trailer and what can I say? It's got humour, it's got heart, it tackles topical issues (i.e. blind faith, vastu shastra, superstitions) and it's a little bit of everything for everyone. The trailer appears to be a feel-good family comedy with a message about the more serious subject of blind faith, vastu shastra and the many superstitions that play such a large role in our everyday lives. Rather than preach or tell us how to live our lives, the filmmakers use humour and share relatable life experiences along the way to make their message relatable to all ages.
The premise follows & Annu Kapoor's character ( Manoj Bajpayee) believes the way to change his life is to change the way that he lives; therefore he believes he has to change the way he thinks and speaks in order to make his life what it will be - success or failure. Due to this belief, Annu Kapoor’s character ends up going through many different and funny situations which can then be described as an emotional roller coaster consisting of a lot of laughs, a lot of tears and also some very suspenseful instances. The question the film asks you through the trailer, ‘Is success predetermined by fate, or is it up to us to determine how successful we are?’ Does it seem to you that there is an emotional depth to this comedy storyline?
Annu Kapoor provides remarkable screen presence, with perfect timing and expression grabbing the audience’s attention. Rukhsar Rehman, Brijendra Kala, Pavan Malhotra, Ishtiyak Khan, Jeeveshu Ahluwalia, Rajendra Sethi, Sumit Gulati and Nitin Arora support him, giving charm to the scenes, thereby keeping them alive and interesting.
The trailer is presented fairly straightforward for a lot of reasons and does not contain a lot of big surprises at this time; however, keeping some mystery could help with the audience keeping their expectations up about the movie as they await its release.
On the whole, the Uttar Da Puttar trailer has a positive impact. With great actors, a meaningful idea, and lots of laughter, the movie should be a good family entertainer, as well as challenge the audience to ask the question of whether the life we lead is driven by "Karam Bade Ya Kismat?" Uttar Da Puttar is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 24, 2026 and has the needed elements.
