Dhamaal 4 has made a comeback on the silver screen after a long wait with a more grandiose display of outrageously funny events. Under the direction of Indra Kumar, this fourth chapter provides all the comic relief that has made the franchise recognizable. While there is nothing new in the plot, it offers customers all the fun that one expects of it.
Storyline
The film is about the treasure that nobody knows before it is disclosed by Prithvi (a character played by Upendra Limaye) on his deathbed. Guddu ( Ajay Devgn) hears the secret first, but he is not the only one who desires to find the treasure. Adi and Manav played by Jaaved Jaaferi, as well as Lallan and two children, and the pirate named Adhura (Ravi Kishan) arrive at an island marked with letter M, where they all experience greed, confusion, and misinterpretations.
Positive Points
The star cast of Dhamaal 4 is perhaps the best part of the movie. Ajay Devgn perfectly fits his character, while he is surrounded by extraordinary Arshad Warsi and Jaaved Jaaferi, who play their parts to the fullest due to their comic timing. An interesting role of Riteish Deshmukh, as well as Sanjay Mishra's comedy and hilarious role, boost the humorous atmosphere of the film, while Ravi Kishan's role as the pirate serves as a cherry on the cake. The first part of the film is rich in action scenes. Those who loved previous installments of the Dhamaal franchise won’t mind reliving some moments from the movie.
Negative Points
Despite an exciting start to the movie, the second half doesn't maintain the pace very well due to unnecessary lengthy chase sequences. A tighter edit could have worked wonders for the film. Although the climax tries to be more emotional, it does not have the same impact as comedy in the film. The music is fine, but there aren't any songs in the movie that people can recall.
Overall: Dhamaal 4 is an entertaining film geared for the family audience which brings together comedy, action, adventure, treasure hunting, and pirates into an entertaining film that has all the required elements. While the story is predictable and the second half is somewhat stretched, the movie is made fun through the spirited performances and comical sequences. The fans of the franchise are likely to enjoy this new adventure and will surely find it worth watching for light entertainment purposes.
