Carry On Jatta 4 is comedy movie franchise is back to entertain audiences with more fun and laugh! The cast includes Gippy Grewal, Sargun Mehta, Binnu Dhillon and other great performers. Director Smeep Kang’s attempt to offer family-friendly amusement included a combination of emotional/physical comedy, misunderstandings and humourous situations.

While there are parts that are funny and some very nice acting in it, Carry On Jatta 4 is unable to provide a unique or new experience that previous installments did. Instead, it relies on the same formula used in previous films to achieve both.

Storyline

The plot of Carry On Jatta 4 revolves around Gippy Grewal's character and Sargun Mehta's character being involved in many misunderstandings and humorous situations. Therefore, the story includes many misunderstandings between the two of them over what they each want, as well as between their families and friends. The story follows a complete predictable chain of events that occur due to misunderstandings, exaggerated responses and funny things happening. Although the character played by the late Jaswinder Bhalla has an emotional representation that is important to the film, there is little substance or excitement to the overall story.

Positive Points

Carry On Jatta 4 also contains a solid supporting cast, made up of experienced actors. Although Gippy Grewal's how-to-make-you-laugh comic timing has once again proven itself to be highly skilled; Sargun Mehta, on the other hand, provides an authentic and comfortable performance. Gippy Grewal's comedic skills are on display again and Sargun Mehta has provided an organic and confident performance. as well as continued strong performances from other established comedians such as Binnu Dhillon, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Karamjit Anmol and Prince Kanwaljit Singh each adding numerous good laughs through their comedy. There are a few touching moments at the end of the film thanks to the emotional impact created by the final performance of Jaswinder Bhalla and those moments assisting in creating lasting memories. This film offers excellent cinematography, contains many bright and colourful images, and has a high-quality score that creates an overall enjoyable comedic movie.

Negative Points

Although the cast was strong, the film's repetitive screenplay seemed too similar to the other films in this franchise. Most of the jokes relied on the exact same misunderstandings and left the audiences feeling 'been there done that' instead of anything new or exciting . Many of the scenes had been drawn out longer than necessary, which created a slow pacing to the movie and therefore decreased the effectiveness of the comedy. There was not enough depth to explore the emotional scenes, and although there were several supporting characters, they were not given nearly enough background to establish themselves; primarily due to the fact that there were too many characters in such a small amount of screen time. Throughout the screenplay, it was as if they took the safety line out and fell on it whenever needed, which resulted in an overall feeling of lack of originality.

Overall: Carry On Jatta 4 has an occasional laugh here or there with some very charismatic acting, but does not have the right amount of freshness and good storytelling to make it a standout film. While diehard fans of the franchise will likely still enjoy the same general style of comedy in their films, many casual viewers expecting something new and exciting may find some parts repetitive and all of the movie uneven. Although there are some elements of entertainment from time to time, overall this is a film that simply does not have the energy or creativity of previous films in this series.
