The most-awaited Skoda Slavia facelift has finally been released in India, incorporating a newly designed exterior and improved features into the midsize sedan. While the basic coupe design and interior look remain unchanged, the revamped Skoda Slavia brings about substantial changes. Even though both the old and new Skoda Slavia use the well-known 1-litre and 1.5-litre turbo petrol engines, the new model comes with an new 8-speed automatic transmission instead of a 6-speed automatic setup for the 1.0L TSI engine. Skoda has also equipped the new Slavia with new colors, extra safety features, and a rear seat comfort feature that is claimed to be offered for the first time in its segment.

Skoda Slavia Facelift Highlights

Changes to the outside of the new Slavia are fairly limited, with Skoda keeping the sedan’s look classy and understated.

Refreshed Exterior Design

  • Updated multi-section LED DRLs.
  • Faux carbon-fibre decoration on the bottom of the grille.
  • Sharper front bumper design.
  • Design of the air dam and LED fog lights are modified.
  • Different style 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
  • Updated design for the LED tail lamp.
  • Faux carbon-fibre trim between the rear lamps.
  • Sequential turn signals at the rear.

The Monte Carlo edition includes some other stylish components, such as the black wheels and accents, as well as the red brake calipers and red accents in the grille.

Colour Options

Skoda has expanded the palette of available colours for the Slavia model, so presently there are ten colour options for customers to choose from.

  • New: Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige (with Cappuccino Beige deliveries starting later).

  • Continuing: Shimla Green, Steel Grey, Brilliant Silver, Candy White, Carbon Steel, Cherry Red, Deep Black, and Lava Blue


The Arctic Silver colour gives the car a unique look without changing the tasteful designs of Skoda Slavia. 

Interior Design

The inside of the newest Slavia remains almost the same as its predecessor in terms of dashboard design, which is beige and black and gives a spacious look. 

The changes made to the car are:

  • Updated user interface 
  • AI assistant
  • Larger and better instrument cluster (10.25-inch screen) 
  • Steering wheel with two spokes still used. 
  • Dashboard design remains unchanged from the previous model.

The facelifted Slavia arrives with several new features that enhance convenience. One of the most discussed features is rear seats with massage functionality, which Skoda claims is a first in the segment.

Skoda has made upgrades in safety features of Slavia. Now the facelifted sedan comes with front parking sensors and 360-degree surround-view camera works alongside Park Pilot and front parking sensors, which makes parking easy.

  • Electric Stability Control (ESC)
  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
  • Disc brakes on all wheels
  • Hill Hold Assist (HHA)
  • Rear parking sensors

The Slavia also gets the Global NCAP 5-star rating, which further establishes its safety credentials as a midsize sedan.

Skoda Slavia Facelift: Price And Variants

The facelifted Slavia is likely going to be one of the prime contenders in the midsize sedan segment in India, with an estimated price range of INR 11 lakh to INR 18 lakh and several variants and formidable safety package features. What remains to be seen is whether this car lives up to its claims or not, which will depend on the official prices and specifications of the vehicle released by Skoda shortly.
