The first trailer for Jumanji Open World teases another adventure full of jokes, action and, of course, the body-switching wit of the series. The same cast including Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan return as different game characters and director Jake Kasdan continues his job, which creates a lot of possibilities. After the successes of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle there are high hopes from the film.

Storyline

The trailer promises that the enchanted video game has changed yet again and brought its heroes into a much bigger and more complicated virtual world. The plot remains a mystery, however, viewers can see some spectacular scenes of action and adventure, funny moments involving avatars and new characters, including Danny DeVito, Nick Jonas and Awkwafina.

Negative Points

While entertaining, the trailer does not offer anything new in terms of plot. There are few new jokes as well as identical actions, which give a feeling of déjà vu. The trailer is largely based on nostalgia with little hints of an exciting story or astonishing villain which leaves a question of whether the last movie can become a real surprise.
